Getting ready for my new Sewing Room!!!

After Meredith moves out in June Andrea will move in to her room. I will have Andrea's room for my sewing room. Right now all I have is a closet with shelves on each side. YUCK. I try to keep it clean but that is hard. I bought these beautiful shelves to put all my fabric in. I am not trying to push Andrea out of her room, I just making sure the shelves fit. right. I still have other things I need for the new sewing room. I just haven't found the right things yet. But it is sure fun searching.

Bagels

I taught a class on bagels this week. We had a great time. I love making bagels. So easy. And so tasty.NUMMMMMMMMY!

March Happenings!!!!!

The biggest thing to happen this March was the marriage of our daughter Meredith to Max Adams. They were married in the Spokane Temple on March 24th. Here are just a couple of pictures. Amy was the photographer and she is in school and very busy. She said she would send us the cd as soon as possible. So when they come I will put so many more on.

In February Eric and I ordered our new dining room set. We wanted it to be here before Merediths wedding. We were cutting it close. They said it would not be here for 8 weeks. That would make it the day before the wedding. We are so good. Well we were lucky, it arrived two weeks before the wedding. I love the side board. I did not realize how tall it was. I ordered it out the furniture stores catalog. The dementions said it would be 9 inches shorter. But I really like how tall it is. We have ordered 2 more chairs. They are not here yet. Hummmmmmm. I think I better call them.

Awhile back I decided I wanted a wall of  clocks. So started looking at clocks. I looked on line and bought some, I looked at stores and bought them. No they don't have a memory behind them, if I want more I will add to them. It is not a collection. I do not collect. If I see something I like I will usually buy it. I love my clocks. The ironic thing is with my OCD, time is sort of my enemy. The night we finished hanging them I started to laugh. I just thought it was crazy to put the thing that frustrates me the most on the wall staring at me. That night Eric and I were talking and he asked what time it was. I just gave him one of my crazy looks and he started to laugh. He finally remembered what did all day.

What To Do In A Storm!

What do you do on a winter day when the satalite tv is out and you really don't want to go anywhere. You make a banana cream pie!I am not fond of pies. But everyone else is. Infact is Eric's favorite flavor.

First Real Winter Storm!!!

Our first real winter storm happened this weekend. It of course was the weekend we were to go to Seattle for Meredith's Bridal Shower. Luckily Meredith went on Wednesday. The weather was decent then. Mother , Andrea and I left Saturday morning and was to pick up my friend Sandy on the way. We did not make it very far. After seeing 6 or 7 cars in ditches it was time to turn around and come home.

The sunset was breathtaking.

IT FITS!!!

Our goal was to be able to put the boat into the garage. It worked. Now the goal is to also get my Explorer in it. It will be a day reorganizing and getting rid of tomorrow. The tongue (not a great picture) folds back. If it did not the boat would not fit.

I don't think Eric has stopped smiling since earlier today.

Backwards, I know.

I know this should have been put in first. Oh Well. Eric and I had to take the boat out today to test it out with one of the employees of the shop we bought the boat from. They had to make sure Eric knew how to run it. I think he did well. Notice the smile on his face. I don't think he has stopped smiling. It was cold out on the water. It snowed last night. He is right now cleaning the garage so we can put the boat in it. Most of you are probably saying What are we going to pull the boat with??? Well... We could not pull the trailer and the boat at the same time. I have heard of people doing that. Crazy people that is. I did not want to pull it with my Taurus. I am not sure it would work. So I traded my Taurus in on a Ford Explorer. When Eric and I go camping we can bring both the trailer and the boat. I can quilt and sew and Eric can boat and fish all he wants. Pretty cool. He will be retireing in the next two years. This will give him some activities to do.He is a very happy fellow. I am happy for him.

Daddy's New Toy!!!!!

Eric's mother left him some money when she died. He thought about what he should do with it. Should we salt it away for our retirement or should we buy something he has wanted FOREVER!!!!! Guess what he did?

Gracie is just a cute LITTLE puppy. She likes to give hugs!

Nesta Clifford

January 2nd Erics mother died. I loved the fact times like that brings loved ones together. The kids have not been in the same house together since my dad died in 2006. It was good to see them together. We were able to see cousins and other relatives we had not seen in years. the funeral was held in Kennewick. I was asked to sing there. It was hard to get through the songs. Afterwards we all went to lunch and then dinner that night as a group. Nesta was 94 years old. She was able to die in her sleep. She was a wonderful woman. She will be missed by all.

Christmas

We had a good Christmas this year. We had Merediths and Andreas fiancees here for the holidays.We had our big dinner Christmas Eve and finger foods for Christmas day. Our menu for Christmas Eve was : pan seared cornish game hens with pomagranate molasses. Israeli couscous and Winter salad. I made chocolate gingerbread sleighs and filled them with chocolates. I made a Pistachio cream yule log for dessert. I made pjs for the kids to open that night. It was just a fun Christmas.

The Many Positions of Gracie

Gracie sleeps in the oddest positions. When she wakes up she limps. I would to if I layed like that. Her legs are so long she does not know what to do with them.

I was able to do the baking for Sams' award night.

In November Eric and I were able to go down

to Arizona for our Grandson Sams' Eagle Scout Program.

It was a great time.

Gracie

Gracie loved to help Eric with the

shed. She now weighs 98.4 lbs. She is 28 inch at the withers.

She done with the height but not the weight.

the vet says it will be another 1 1/2 yrs till she

is done gaining weight.

We had a good crop of pumpkins

and carrots this year. Not so good

on the other crops.
